The Joker Vs Junko Enoshima: Prediction Blog

AwesomeEthan48 made this DB Skull Template

“Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torment of man.”

― Friedrich Nietzsche

The Joker, arch nemesis to The Batman and Detective Comics Clown Prince of Crime.

Junko Enoshima, Danganronpa's mastermind goddess of despair.

Life is nothing more than two faces of a coin; the comedy of wants and the tragedy of needs. Every concept of wants and needs has always tied back to this puzzle of a man. The valid question all have asked once in our lives: What makes being good different from evil? God and Satan, the Yin and Yang, the protagonist and antagonist, all examples of how life has always answered the question thanks to man's greatest weapon. The conscience.

Our conscience has been the center point of keeping a code to maintain humanity's morals, but what happens if that ethics becomes abnormal? Every man wants to grow up and succeed like the heroes inspired by youth, yet the villains we realize as adults are what now hold our ethics living in a society. Once the mind goes mad, whatever doesn't kill you simply makes you stranger. The greatest joke of all once the conscience gets twisted and weaponized is when the fun begins. Realizing that life has finally completed what man truly is: an agent of chaos and despair.

One bad day was all it took to give birth to two of the sinfulness jesters in fiction, providing the ideal faces of what evil truly defines. Both have made the world burn using only their minds driving the most innocent and wisest of man go insane. They have destroyed symbols of justice with just their smiles and used sinister sets of methods and weapons to shatter hope itself. Even in defeat or death, they still laugh and dance with the devil in the pale moonlight. The Joker is without a doubt one of the greatest villains all know well in how dangerous a man can become, but can he win another battle to the death against the new girl who adds fashion to misery? Will the clown put a smile on Big Sis's face? Or will despair give the Clown Prince his ultimate punishment? Either way, Death Battle is finally getting what its f🤡🐻king deserves.

In Case You Are Wondering…

Both fighters will be quickly told how the match will be presented in the fight because of their unpredictable nature—making the fight as fair as possible while justifying the reasonable outcome by going all out. Let's start with Joker.

Like all past DC fighters that the G1's had blogged about, Detective Comics will be the prime source for Joker since the comics are where he was made. Includes crossovers from other series as long as they are confirmed canon, like Doomsday Clock or DC Versus Marvel, as examples. The Arkham games, Injustice, and all of the cartoons like Batman: The Animated Series are fair game as support. Any tool or ability like Joker's Titan formula from secondary sources will also be added as long as they follow the comic source.

However, Junko is the hurdle that needs to be judged.

  • Spoiler warnings for Danganronpa as a whole since we will be discussing all the games and the main events of the story from here on. Ruining the mystery that it was praised for. If you care about this, play the games first, as they are fun and entertaining in discovering their storylines.

The problem is not the sources since the games were the primary source, with novels, mangas, and anime shows adding depth to the games. The problem is Danganronpa's story is another example of shit going everywhere. Many events connect to the continued story or say, "screw it, everything was made up for content.”  (Looking at you, V3 and D3!) It is a big problem since Junko herself is why Danganronpa became what it is known by. Thanks to its story with twists and turns.

The main question for Junko: does she get Monokuma and Alter Ego Junko? In getting both, yes. There will be a Q&A with one of them on this topic, but the summary is Junko herself was the creator that made them who and are a piece of herself. It can be debatable if she gets the armies of Monokuma again will be told in depth later, but Junko has other ways to make the fight fair and feats to scale.

Lastly, shoutout to the G1 blog and their blog for Korosensei VS Monokuma; it helped me in my research for this fight and, indeed, was a good blog. Go read it here if you have not.

Now, let’s see who shall get the laugh?

Background

The Joker

"If the police expect to play against The Joker, they'd better be prepared to be dealt from the bottom of the deck!”

Gotham City is home to its most excellent protector, Batman. All of humanity knows his name and understands he is one of the last men a crook would want to meet. Ever since his debut, Batman became the night itself over Gotham, striking fear into the hearts of all who feed from the innocence. With time and witnesses of his heroics and moral code, he would become the symbol of fear and become one of the best superheroes in the world. But even Batman has made mistakes on his journey, and the highest cost would be in making his greatest nemesis destined to face. That foe was a man named: The Joker.

The origins of Joker remain a mystery and will never likely be known. Was he a mafia member who got outed by his boss? Is a failed comedian desperate to support his pregnant wife? Maybe his mother? A title passed down to those who are deemed mad? Or, an American soldier from war caught at the wrong place at the wrong time? Nobody has the answer, not even the Joker himself. But what is known from sources is the outcome was his falling into a mysterious bath of chemicals whom Batman failed to save. He survived, thankfully, but whoever came out was no longer the same person. The bath did worse than turning his skin pale white. It made him insane.

Reborn as a new person and finally finding his smile, The Joker now has a task to spread his joy to the world and make it bleed. Starting with Gotham. Titled the Clown Prince of Crime, The Joker took little time to give a significant wedgie to Gotham by repaying the Dark Night in a never-ending game of war. Many battles

and clashes between the two have affected the entire multiverses of DC. Rebooting the prime DC universe multiple times and remaining the same game. Still, his sick laughter had always brought out the worst sides of a man going as far as affecting the Bat Family and the Justice League and succeeding in some occasions of breaking Batman completely. Sadly the joke would always go on him; he would always end up back in Arkham Asylum or six feet under. It would not mean that The Joker will find a way with his final breath a good laugh to dance with the devil in the pale moonlight.

No matter how many different stories foretold the battle between order and chaos for the soul of Gotham, The Joker will be the one to make sure all will have that one rotten day.

Junko Enoshima

"The older sister, tough and proud—that was Mukuro. The younger sister, smart and cute—that was... Hyaaaahaha! Me! Junko f***ing Enoshima! And together, we were the Despair Sisters! AKA the Ultimate Despair!"

Since the beginning of humankind, life has taught the importance of balance by two forces of nature. Hope: the good faith with trust, honor, and the power of friendship. And despair: the utter terror of depression and driver of insanity. In the world of Danganronpa, these natures have become the central point of how humanity has been cultured in everyday life. Well, mainly for hope, of course. The balance was more or less interrupted where despair's answer was a reset to restore the flow and long last, found its answer. One teenage girl would embrace all of the despair as its avatar to eradicate hope. And that girl was Junko Enoshima.

(The complete background of Junko's origin was not fully explored in the series, but some details were enough to get a good idea of the total picture thanks to the novels and game modes.)

All that Junko has known in her life is misery. Since her childhood, it was only herself and her older twin sister, Mukuro Ikusaba; Junko was always struggling to survive from being very poor. But Junko always felt a part of misery as she knew her birth was a mistake to the world. Because of her gift of being so cursed, she quickly became bored with life. One day, she came up with an idea while nearly completing her one month of building a sand castle modeled after the Sagrada Familia church. Junko became upset when she found her hard work destroyed, crying for a day, while one of her classmates, Yasuke Matsuda, was hell-bent on finding the culprit. They became close friends and maybe more since that, so much she told him her big secret. That Junko herself was the one who destroyed the castle to make him happy, which Yasuke cried. Junko didn't need to tell Yasuke that she planned to become close to the one who had no friends in trying to save his later dead mother.

That moment her true self was awakened, Junko saw her life purpose: “to paint the world with despair.” From there, Junko would begin her long years planning to bring tragedy to all people. Becoming a popular model years later in her teens now, Junko would, at last, start her quest into motion. (The Anime of D3 comes in now from here, though canon but breaks specific key points of the games). She reunited with Mukuro in the airport as both got accepted at Hope’s Peak Academy in Class 78th and wasted no time scheming. Torturing students and teachers created the Tragedy of Hope’s Peak Academy by having the student council kill each other and manipulate Class 77-B into her captains was just the beginning of Junko’s dream coming true. While hiding with Mukuro and reuniting with Yasuke inside, Junko had herself brainwashed as a new person, Ryoko Otonasi. Ryoko was a completely different person, but Junko was still her and got rid of her once she and Mukuro got rid of the school board members and Yasuke himself. And the icing on top was “saving” The Warriors of Hope, and its leader, Monaca Towa, helped make Junko her army and the unique mascot: Monkokuma.

Junko’s dream has now come true by causing the most disastrous event ever: The Tragedy. Despair took over the world, where friends and families were murdered or given worse fates than death. War, madness, and chaos were what Junko led at last in showing what she had seen as a message for everyone to see. But, her job was not done as her final target to destroy hope was by bringing despair to Class 78th, the same one she and Mukuro were put into. Despite Kyoko Kirigiri’s dad and headmaster blocking Hope’s Peak Academy from the outside world, the sisters were already inside and readily took over to set up the Mutual Killing Game of Class 78th for the world to watch.

This is where the first game Trigger Happy takes and starts with Junko’s first action by killing the headmaster. Junko takes everyone's memories and becomes the game's director by controlling the new headmaster Monokuma. And oh boy, did it start with a bang, with the first kill being a murder gone wrong and the second Junko killing Mukuro, disguised as Junko. With the bodies increasing and the views sorrowing, Junko would fail to see the cracks of her despair coming to an end. Kyoko got the opening she needed after the fourth class trial to steal the master key and some of Mukuro’s background to regain their memories. Junko, angered, planned to murder the average nobody Makoto Naegi in order to frame the detective, only for Kyoko to foil her again and use Mukuro’s corpse instead. And how close was she to succeed if it was not for Makoto’s bullshit troupe of friendship and hope on his side. That one act of kindness of keeping Kyoko's big lie and taking her place of execution was what put the identity of Junko and plan finally to light. In a final battle between Makoto’s innocent hope against Junko’s experience of despair, Naegi’s trust and morals came out on top. And the incredible moment of victory, Junko killed herself as the highest honor of despair while keeping her promise to the remaining survivors of Class 78. While the new world order and the trusted allies went mad over the death of their “queen,” Junko’s legacy and spirit still lived on to bring despair everywhere it went. Even if hope did win in the end to heal what was saved, despair had a great time while it lasted.

All now know that despair can become a life-threatening thriller with no mercy or regret, And%20it%20was%20all%20me, Junko Enoshima.

Equipment

Joker

Playing Cards

Be careful when you pick a card from this clown; they will cut more than a finger. Starting with one of the mad clown’s primary weapons, the playing cards are his throwing knives. Being his version of the batarangs, the cards pierce human skin, killing the foe if the bullseyes hit thanks to the steel sharp edges. The playing cards have shown some can be filled with knockout gas and explosives.

Acid Flower

That flower in his suit was never for style, as The Joker has always had a “comedic” side for his weapons. As the name states, the flower is a quart gun once squeezed that shoots acid that burns through steel, human flesh, and the man of steel’s space suit. It also can change with other features, including knockout gas, poisonous gas, the “happy gas” being saved for last, water, or nothing at all.

Joy Buzzer

If a clown ever asks you for a handshake, DON’T do it. The Joker has taught us this fatal trick as his buzzer is an electric chair. When touched, the voltage shock is enough to either paralyze the victim, knock them out, or die. It even killed Mr. Freeze during the Silver Age once. The Joker uses the buzzer to take down his foes by surprise and counter an attack. The Joker uses two joy buzzers to double the buzz. However, it does not affect those immune to electrical attacks or just Static Shock.

Note: In the Birds of Prey TV show and Batman: The Video Game, the joy buzzer was presented to muster lighting and electrical waves. But, they have never been presented in the comics to do the same.

Boxing Gloves

When Mr.J wants to deliver a punchline, he will make you notice from a distance. The boxing gloves allow Joker to become a fighter from Nintendo Arms, able to punch hard and repeat for a brutal combo. The Joker has more than one, which can have the power of a gun piercing a body with ease.

Bombs

Joker loves bombs, and who doesn’t? Joker is a madman who has many ways to blow something up. Bombs that are rigged, bombs that explode on contract, bombs as a jack in a box, actual grenades, poker chips, a rubber chicken, baby-shaped grandes, chattering teeth, hostages themselves, cakes, a gun shooting grenades, wine bottles, atomic bombs, marble grenades that can take down an airplane and a factory, etc.

Gas Grenades

Gas, gas, gas, how Joker also uses the third state of matter. Joker has used many forms of gasses to surprise the crowd or get an opening to escape. He has used smoke grenades, knockout gas, the gas that makes you cry shown above, paralyzing gas that works on the dead, and his particular gas.

Knifes

As The Joker once said about why he uses a knife, “You can’t savor all the little emotions. In their last moments, people show who they really are”. It doesn't matter if it’s a Bowie knife, army knife, or pocket knife; Joker will use the weapons to cut, slash, and stab his foes and make a comedy face on you.

Guns

Being a total American can always be presented by showing guns. Joker presents his love of violence with the multiple guns at his disposal. Here are some of the guns he has used during his career.

Flag Pistol: The Joker puts the bang in his pranks, or you drop dead. As this gun makes you either think twice as a fake or it’s a spear gun, and the results are above.

Revolver: When Joker does want to pack a punch, he uses a revolver with around six to eight rounds to get a fast draw on his foes. It can blow a head clean off (referenced in MK9).

Tommy Gun: Outed and still one of the best guns to be made, The Thompson Submachine gun was made for a quick attack. While it has bullets of a pistol as .45 ACP, the fire rate between 600-1500 with its magazine holding up to 20-100 makes up for it. Joker loves this gun as it can turn a man into cheese in seconds.

Handgun Ax: As it says, a gun that shoots axes. Cracking hands and heads.

Uzi Submachine Gun: Another quick-fire gun that uses 9mm at 600 rounds per minute. It was Joker’s primary weapon in the crossover of State of Survival.

Hit-Seeking Missile Launcher: A launcher targets missiles to destroy a vehicle and a ceiling.

Remington Model 700: A high-powered sniper rifle with about six rounds that can be remote-controlled.

Acid Dart Gun: Regular darts with high acid strong enough to harm Black Mask. Joker stated the darts would eat your innards before the dart was removed. Also has a regular acid gun.

Shotgun: Nothing wrong with shooting human bucks.

Sonic Gun: Pushes people back or kills them.

Flame Thrower: A lighter as a flamethrower, dang, that’s scary and cool.

Bazooka: A rocket launcher to wake people up for the last time.

Long Barrel Revolver

This particular pistol had to get a slot of its own. The Long Barrel Relevor is an anti-tank weapon strong enough to take down Batman’s enduring vehicles like the Batwing. It can be used as a baseball bat as well, yet it has been used on the Joker himself.

Joker’s Cane

If some skulls need to be bashed, Joker carries a cane with him to do the job. It can come with a dagger, a sword, or just be wooden enough to repeatedly swing at an opponent to deal damage.

Crowbar

Of course, the crowbar had to be mentioned. Like his canes, Joker uses this weapon to give a metal bashing to anyone up close or just a Robin.

Joker’s Suit

You could say The Joker can use anything as a weapon, even his suit. The suit is regular, but he added things to make even Batman think twice. He can cover his case with the stickum shown above, have buttons pop out to explode, use his fake hair to blind foes, has x-ray goggles, and use springs on his arms and legs. Bonus, his tailgate can be a weapon to counter any spies from TF2 and attack back.

Utility Belt

The Joker is so obsessed with Batman that he copies two of the crusader's weapons, starting with the Utility Belt. Joker made one of his own to counter Batman and Robin’s belts successfully until they used his tools against them.

Here will be exploring in more depth the utility that is shown above:

  • Hand Buzzer- It’s the joy buzzer.

  • Snake Pellets - Tiny pills that turn into trick snakes when exposed to heat.

  • Sneezing Powder Capsules- Capsules, when used, make those sneeze badly

  • Itching Powder Capsules- Capsules, when used, gives foes a horrible feeling of itching.

  • Water squirting Police Badge with bulb and hose- Similar to the Acid Flower and can be filled with knockout gas.

  • False Cigarette Pack with Jumping Jack Mechanism

  • Exploding Cigarettes- A KGB execution move where a booby trap cigar exposes and can destroy a room

  • Eyepiece - As the name states, a small circular object leaves the victim with a black eye.

  • Mexican Jumping Beans - Jumping beans as a distraction and knockout foes

  • Flower Pellets - Pills that burst into large flowers

  • Playing Cards

  • Small Cork - An ordinary cork filled with paralyzing gas.

Jokermobile

The most ripoff scheme the Joker has ever committed, The Jokermobile, was made to rival the famous Batmobile. No matter how often Batman has destroyed his car, Joker would find a way to rebuild and improve it. It has mounted machine guns, missiles that go everywhere, and bulletproof resistance. And more than that, other counterparts of the cartoons presented the vehicle as pulling out a whoopie cushion, bouncing around with springs, becoming a hot air balloon, throwing a fish to break the batmobile window, having its acid flower, throwing jack in a box, shoot playing cards, and pop out popcorn to block an alley. And, of course, it sprays gas. The downside is the tires are regular and can easily pop to crash the vehicle.

JokerCopter

The jokes on Thanos, Joker had one before him. Nothing special about it besides machine guns and being his air travel ride which can spray his “happy gas” to his targets. Speaking of happiness…

Joker Venom

When thinking of the Joker’s deadliest weapon, it is, without a doubt, his venomous toxin. What is supposed to be gas that makes you sleepy and giggly, Joker Venom makes it where you laugh so hard you suffocate yourself to death while leaving a grinning smile. A damned way to die only the mad clown would think of creating. The toxin is Joker’s favorite trump card because of how versatile the poison can be transferred. Since the first issue of Joker’s debut, there have been over FIFTY different uses of the laughing gas that the clown prince of crime has made.

Depending on the amount of venom used, even the non-fatal dose will cause brain damage and wishing for death like Arthur Reeves. Karmaaaaa. As stated, Joker can be very creative in delivering his grinning death. The gas has been shown to have covered a whole room in seconds, affecting numerous people, and would cover an entire city like Gotham if Batman did not foil his plans. But he can do more than just put gas in the air as Joker can do the following with Joker Venom: Put it into liquids, ammo pack a squirt gun, cover them in bullets, darts, thorns, his playing cards, envelop cards, his replaced joy buzzer, and fangs, release them in his wrists, mix with other chemicals to become flammable like a flamethrower, spray with his acid flower, put them on clothes and activate it like C4, gas people with grenades or jack in a boxes, put them into animals like snakes and cats, spray it like perfume while splitting the compounds in half, spread like a virus, come out of his hair, and SHRINK PEOPLE!!! Man, was the classic comics wild.

The scariest thing is how almost nobody is safe, not even superheroes. When high members of the Justice League and the Teen Titans force a retreat when Joker Venom is used, you know how dangerous it can be. Those as powerful as The Flash can die from the dangerous effects. One time, Joker made a particular Venom that was able to affect high members of the Justice League: Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Aquaman. It was so alive that it could adapt and evolve to make it hard for even Batman to find a cure. It also was able to infect others caught by Venom, which gave them a healing factor.

However, there are two drawbacks. The first are those like Joker can be immune to the Venom, whereas inhaling it would just be like air. Marvel’s Red Skull and Poison Ivy proved this could happen as they were not affected by the effects. The second and biggest one is that the toxic gas can be cured, as Batman has countered nearly all fifty versions of the Joker Venom. Including the one that took out the Justice League.

Junko

Despair Video

At least we know Junko’s favorite song was from System Of A Down. Junko’s trump card weapon brought “Chop Suey” to the world, just from watching a short video. Junko’s creation was based on the original animation made by the Ultimate Animator, Ryota Mitarai, who tried to bring his animations to life and bring joy. But in one quick instant, Junko found her brush to paint despair. After using his boring skills til Ryota was no longer needed, Junko made her animation with Ryota’s hypnosis technique added to make victims brainwashed and filled with, well, you know by now. This was how she brainwashed Class 77th into becoming the Remnants of Despair and acting as her top lieutenants post-Tragedy in D3. Even those of Ultimate Hope were affected by the effects and easily can be transferred by devices, as Junko’s mascot presented.

Flashback Light

Note: It is debatable if DV3: Killing Harmony should be added because of its “bold” ending where it gives the middle finger to canon after the D3 anime “ends” the series, but is still being added since it is a part of the main source material.

A flashbang from Counter-Strike disguised as a flashlight, blast that’s clever. Junko's mascot, Monokuma, used this flashlight to “help” students regain the memories they lost from the past. But, the students from Ultimate Academy learned its true purpose, giving fake memories instead. It’s similar to Rick Schnaz’s mind eraser gun, where the light makes the victim’s brain trick and suffer the deja vu effect. It can only make fake memories and never real ones. But, these fake memories have changed the person, giving them a new personality added from their false life and even giving them an Ultimate just as strong as their original. This will be discussed later.

Blackout Light

Another tool Monkokuma has used in V3. It’s similar to the Flashback Light, but this makes the victim lose their memories when flashed.

Knife

Yes, that is Junko in disguise.TWFrZXMgeW91IHdpc2ggeW91IHBs

YXllZCB0aGUgZ2FtZXMgbm93. Junko used a combat knife during the Class 78th Killing Game, where she tried to murder Makoto Naegi but was stopped by Kyoko Kirigiri. A good knife for fighting, throwing, and framing.

Baseball Bat

When Junko wants to swing, she will get a direct hit. Junko has been shown to use a baseball bat in anime. It’s one of her primary weapons, as she used it against Juzo Sakakura and Izuru Kamukura.

Ice Pick

Another weapon Junko has used in the series, the ice pick, is the close-range weapon of choice. She has used this tool in attempts to kill her sister Mukuro and Izuru.

Wallet Bomb

A tip that all drivers should avoid from this girl. Junko made this bomb from her wallet, which was strong enough to destroy the car and the driver.

Grenade

Nothing wrong with a regular Mk Pineapple grenade to make cars and people go kaboom.

Lipstick

So, in the novel Danganronpa Zero, Junko has some poisonous lipstick that can paralyze those touched by it.

Abilities

Joker

Criminal Genius

There is a reason why the goddamn Batman always takes the Joker seriously; he is a man who CAN make the world burn. And that is all thanks to how dangerously smart he is throughout many continuities of the Clown. The chemicals that drove him beyond sane gave him high levels of genius on the same par as Batman. And Batman has been accepted by many to be given high titles as the “World’s Greatest Detective” and “The God of Knowledge,” which even Gods have approved. The Anti Monitor, the one who caused THE first Crisis on all of DC Infinite Earths, considered Joker the greatest murderer he had seen.

He has often planned schemes of high-level geniuses like Batman, Superman, and Lex Luther into his traps due to Joker’s mind being so unpredictable. The Joker has escaped Arkham Asylum on multiple occasions, discovered who the Masked Phantasm was before Batman could, infamously found out Batgirl was Barbara Gordon in different timelines, got the whole Justice League into his games, took possession of Tim Drake’s body after he died, taken over a section of Ancient Japan in a short time, turned Jason Todd into the Arkham Knight, and captured the whole Bat-family already knowing their identities. The Joker knew who Batman was on some occasions. His most terrifying achievement was when The Joker once became a god by outsmarting Superman’s stalker Mr. Mxyzptlk into saying his name when Mxy was giving 1% of his power. An actual Shaggy scheme years before the “meme”. That was how clever Joker’s mind was and made him a menace to everyone in DC.

And it does not stop there as he has shown how versatile his mind shows why he is nearly impossible to predict.

Science/Chemistry: As shown in the equipment section, the Harlequin of Hate is a chemical expert, and one of his multiple-choice origins was that he “once” was a chemical engineer. And this is shown in almost all different series to have created his infamous toxin to back up the claim. He has made pies filled with cyanide, bombs, created Joker Putty for malleable or rubber targets, in a short time made a slippery trap from chemicals from a janitor closet, nerve gas to cover a whole coliseum, and once turned Batman with chemicals into The Freaking Hulk!

Hacking: If there is someone who can rival Dr. Eggman in making an announcement, it’s Mr. J. There have been many cases of the clown having some experience in hacking to gain the audience's favor. He has hacked radios, televisions, nuclear bombs, and satellites for his schemes. Joker has been able to use alien tech like the Mother Box and made a digital virus with A.I., which sucks to take his place in the future long after his death.

Inventing/Engineering: Now comes the part where he is very good at making things. Joker, as shown, has a portfolio of his engineering skills at work if most of it was not for killing. He has made micro tokens to depower high members of the JLA, made a ray to make people believe what they hear, turned props like a Christmas tree or rockets into real ones, made robots, a pogo stick with lasers, extendable shoes, made his version of other villains tools like Penguins umbrellas, Scarecrow Fear Toxins, and Mad Hatter’s mind control cards, and made a chip to possess Tim Drake’s body long after he died.

Insane Strategist: Joker is a terrorizing thinker who is always ahead of the curve. His battles with the world’s greatest detective proved how his wits could outsmart the best minds of DC. Joker has set up many traps with prep time that Batman and Robin fell into, defeated Ra's Al Ghul in a game of chess, beat Wonder Women and HANGED her with her lasso, turned Harvey Dent into Two-Face under Batman’s nose, can predict Batman’s every move, outsmart Superman on occasions, and as told became an Emperor after stealing Mxy’s powers.

High Human Physique

Just because The Joker is a human does not mean he can not do the impossible. Back to being severe, The Joker has high levels of human peaks of stats. Despite showing the lack of a workout routine Batman has done, it does not stop the clown from keeping up with the players. He has fought the bat on equal scaling and has a leg press of two and a half thousand pounds, making Batman stronger than the best peak athletes/bodybuilders. Joker’s agility helps him stay ahead of Batman, who he always states was faster than the two, even without enhancements. In the comics, it said he has a madness state making Joker gain some superhuman strength to match Batman. Hell, let’s return to the Silver Age, where his madness alone channeled a whole dimension that SAVED HIS MULTIVERSE AND FIGHT SUPERMAN FIST TO FIST!

He truly was the original Trump, and even that quote is real.

Stealth Mastery

If Joker ever wanted to troll Batman to the next level, he needed to whisper “Among Us,” like in the image above. I can see myself doing that. Joker is surprisingly a sneaky bastard, even getting Batman off guard on multiple occasions. Ninjas trained Batman so masterfully that not even JL members with super hearing noticed him. Despite his skin being noticeable, it does not stop Joker from sneaking around, taking down guards, and him getting away from Arkham. Even trained stealth masters like Deadshot and Talia Al-Ghul failed to notice him until it was too late.

Hand To Hand Combat

Who knew a clown could make a fistfight so entertaining? The Joker is a threat no matter the situation he is in, even if unarmed. Although not trained, Joker has fought closely with the best masters fighters in his universe. Batman, of course, has in his career mastered all arts while spot on to recognize them to keep up with the best and beat foes like Deathstroke and Ra’s Al-Gaul. In the crossover game with Mortal Kombat, Joker defeated Sonya Blade, Kano, and Deathstroke all one on one, but was amped on that RAGE!!! Joker once, while escaping from Ra’s lair, killed some trained assassins on his own and defeated Lex Luthor without his armor, whose shocking combat skills get training from Amazon warriors.

Weapons Expert

When the clown is armed, he becomes even more dangerous. Joker has stayed in the fight thanks to the mastery of his weapons. In combat, he is quick on the draw and able to use bombs and gasses at his disposal. Joker is also a skilled marksman in guns and throwing items to pinpoint targets and even countered Batman's batarangs against a man with high accuracy. In Batman Ninja, Joker holds his ground against Batman in swordsmanship before Batman out-skills him, which the comics supports

Deception

Come on; it has to be talked about sooner or later. The Joker is confirmed to be a sociopath, having no conscience or empathy for others except himself. It made him both a master of disguise and a manipulator. His “relationship” with Harley Quinn proves how many years of abuse did not matter, as Joker can use his words and charm to his advantage. This was how he turned Dr. Quinzel into Harley Quinn and Harvey Dent into Two Face in The Dark Night film. When playing mind games, not even Riddler sometimes understands him, with Two-Face and Gordon getting psych out sometimes. One time, Joker nearly took over a country by tricking both sides and killing one of his goons by hypnotism with his voice. Joker's disguises are so good he has fooled Batman. He can put on a disguise within ten seconds, infiltrate high-security places like the U.S. Pentagon and Arkham Asylum, rob a bank as a goon without the rest knowing, pretend he is a villain like Black Mask, and nearly trick anyone as a citizen or a tv prop

Escape Artist

That Jingle Bells song was not joking. The Joker does get away. Even if death seems inevitable, the clown finds a way to live and fight another day. No matter how secure Arkham Asylum can become, Joker has shown numerous ways to escape his prison and enter at will by getting a straight jacket on and off in seconds. Death has a hard time getting that clown because of his artistry. He has fallen from fatal heights many times, been attacked by sharks, electrocuted from his joy buzzer, blown up in a helicopter crash, caught in an exploding building, and beaten to close fatal wounds to get away.

Fourth Wall Awareness

Ah, so this is where it all started. As the section tells, Joker is so insane he can realistically interact with the audience. This can be supported by Batman: The Animated Series and Mortal Kombat 11. As shown above, he states in having Cosmic Awareness by seeing reality. And… he might be telling the truth on this one. There have been a few times in the comics where he has shown to go further than talk to us; he has turned the page of his comics and gets information from the “Outside World.” Hell, he even has been aware of his non-canon crossovers as he knew Spider-Man from his previous encounter issues, yet Spider-Man only just met Joker for the first time. Then again, since this was during Ben Reilly’s era, and the less said about the Clone Saga, the better.

However, this is debatable as the wall breaking is seen chiefly as gags like early Archie Sonic. We, the audience, never truly see Joker's true power in using this ability to see reality.

Regeneration

Apparently, during the New 52, Joker discovered a substance called Dionesium that was the same material as the Lazarus Pit and the rock that gave Vandal Savage his immortality. The clown absorbs this stuff giving him limited amounts of a healing factor and some resurrection depending on the part. This was how Joker recovered after removing his face and using it as a mask. The material was destroyed in the fight with Batman.

Poison Immunity

It sucks to use a poison-type Pokémon against The Joker; it won’t be effective. Because of The Joker's years of experimentation with dangerous chemicals on himself, he has become immune to nearly all poison and contaminated himself. Grant Morrison, an experienced Batman Writer, stated Joker Toxin has made Joker resistant to all types of poisons, which has proven accurate, with Scarecrow’s Fear Toxin, and Red Skull’s Dust of Death having no effects. A mosquito, Earth’s deadliest thing due to carrying many diseases, died from drinking Joker’s blood. In the crossover game State of Survival, Joker got bitten by a zombie, of all things, and infected the zombie without becoming one himself to support the claim of his toxic blood.

Disease Manipulation

As foretold through Joker Venom, Joker's mind is so clever he has created a manufactured disease and can easily manipulate it into whatever he pleases. And can go as far as jokerizing others to become like him, including zombies. Especially his own body is dangerous since it makes a person become him and could affect those like Batman.

Pain Tolerance

The most impressive thing about Joker’s career is how determined his goals are to achieve no matter the danger. The Joker has, through his many battles, gained a John Wick mode where the madness gives him an adrenaline boost to embrace the pain. No matter how many beatings endured by Batman and others, it only makes him stranger to the world’s laughter. The Joker had gotten three batarangs with one in his eye and continued fighting, lost a tooth from a kick to the face, survived a helicopter crash with no injury, got caught in an exploding building, cut off his face with no medication shown above, took a blow from Bane with venom, and lasted a while when his Titan formula was killing him. The Joker, you could say, has the willpower to be the punching bag to make his jokes hit harder.

Resistances

Let’s now end this section by going through what the clown has fought off:

  • Hypnosis\Mind Control: Not even gods could control this man. That’s how insane Joker has become. Joker is more or less immune to being hacked by the mind as characters like The Spectre, one of the gods of DC, vomit when he tries to reality warped his insanity. Even cosmic magic that affected Superman could not jeopardize the clown.

  • Empathy: As shown above, The Joker once made the powerful Teen Titan Raven go mad. She tries to use her empathy, which can manipulate the clown's feelings, only to go wrong. And Raven has affected strong people like Starfire, Wally West, and other gods by using their emotions.

  • Telepathy: Attacking the mind will not work for long; ask Martian Manhunter when he tries to disable The Joker’s mind. Like the other two, Joker’s insanity is impossible to control; not even gods and their weapons, like the Lasso of Truth, could work on him.

  • Possession: The most surprising resistance achievement, Joker does more than prevent his body from being taken; he can steal their powers. Gods like Deimos and The Spectre tried to control The Joker’s body and mind, only for Joker to somehow uno reverse to possess them.

Junko

Ultimate Fashionista

Another series that predicted Among Us seeing a trend here.

Before we explore Junko’s primary abilities, let’s quickly explain how the powers in Danganronpa work. To summarize: an Ultimate is an exceptional talent the user has that makes them the best of the best. Think of it like a Cutie Mark from My Little Pony, the tattoos on their rears. The talents give users superhuman-like powers granting success in their field. Some may form in their careers, like Leon Kuwata's baseball improving accuracy, while others, including Celestia Lunenberg or Nagito Komaeda, increase one's stats like chance and luck. A person can have more than one Ultimate, as Toko Fukawa showed despite splitting her mind with Genocider Syo (Genocide Jack/Jill in different versions) share the same body.

Junko has confirmed three Ultimates in the series, starting with her talent for fashion. Ultimate Fashionista got Junko into a modeling career, quickly achieving to become one of the most popular models in Japan. It allowed her to become a high social influencer, always using the following popular trend before they even came out. While this was what the audience knew, this was just the cover for her actual skill to be shown.

Ultimate Despair

A title both sisters held until Junko confirmed it was for herself. Years of research and experience brought the sisters to gain the pleasures of despair and master their talent, but mostly for Junko. It allowed Junko to affect those with despair as an empathy where the emotions turn even against the strongest minds to panic. Junko’s description of despair as unpredictable presented herself as being near impossible to read since not even the Ultimate Detective could predict her actions

Her spreading of despair is so good that Makoto Naegi has to save his remaining classmates from Junko’s final all-in bet. Junko’s despair allows her to manipulate the minds with madness, with her words, tech, or force. Despair gives her particular adrenaline to clean off fresh wounds, like instantly coming out of a hospital after getting a hard bash to the head.

Ultimate Analyst

Now we come to Junko’s cursed gift and her genuine Ultimate: Analyst. The reason why Junko despised her gift is because of how easily dull she can gather information and predict outcomes. She is James Moriarty with the powers of the Sharingan. And it made her one of the most intelligent individuals in Danganronpa. Junko, throughout the franchise, showed the power to analyze her surroundings down to the smallest detail, memorizing with quick speed and critical thinking. It is so strong Junko can steal other Ultimate talents, copying those skills for herself. Great examples of her Sharingan likeability were when she created her suicidal video from Ryota Mitaria’s animation techniques, manipulated brains from Yasuke’s neurological research, and Chihiro Fujisaki’s programming made artificial intelligence. More on the last one later.

And it does not stop there, as Junko's eyes are so accurate others believe she could predict the future. Junko proved to be the case. During her second identity as Ryoko Otonasi, the red girl on the left, Ryoko could predict actions by studying foes’ behaviors without looking at them. She uses this against foes to attack their weaknesses, where she can add despair to further the damage. Going further, Ryoko kept all the future events in her notebook, which became true. And Junko again can foresee many outcomes to predict the results to giveaway despair.

High Intelligence

Because of Junko’s curse, she became an extraordinary genius who helped claim the future to her hands. A mastermind that made her plans nearly on point, Junko shines in preparation because almost everything is predictable to her. As stated in the Ultimate Analyst section, Junko is so talented by her curse she literally can steal other Ultimates’ talents that took years to master and perfect them in a short time. By herself and with some analyzing, she created her two most oversized trump cards that would continue bringing chaos after death.

Heightened Senses

It’s not just the eyes. Junko has in-depth sensory input in detecting things others can’t. She has the sixth sense to detect others with hidden talents. This was how she got introduced to Ryota after walking past him, as shown above. In the Zero novel, Junko can detect students like Nagito having either hope or despair.

Deception

The picture on top was an early concept art of “Junko,” initially being the first to be killed off, yet it fits perfectly in this section. Because of Junko’s charisma and… attractiveness, she easily manipulates nearly anyone into her traps. Her planning behind most of Hope Peak’s Academy nose showed how sneaky she could blend inside of citizens. Even when she was close to getting exposed in many situations, her exploit skills were enough to get away while being a great blackmailer. She “prevented” the Warriors of Hope from suicide by putting their anger on the adults instead and abusing her sister to become dependent on her. Yeah, dark stuff.

Weapons Mastery

Junko is never afraid to get her hands dirty; ask Naegi. Junko uses anything catching her eye to fight back against foes, shown with the baseball bat and ice pick. Using them to fight with expertise and can hold on against the best fighters. Speaking of which…

Hand to Hand Combat

Wait… that was not the picture added here. Another surprising skill Junko has is being good at close combat. She is the twin sister of the Ultimate Soldier, and Mukuro feels Junko is the superior of the two. Though Mukuro had the love bug for her sister. Junko’s robots were programmed based on herself and showed to counter both experienced soldier Mukuro, and Sakura Ogami, considered one of the strongest people in the world. Sakura was the Ultimate Martial Artist with a 400-win streak on her belt and years of fighting in her belt and fought on par with Monokuma. To prove the bold statement of having 300 fights, Junko showed she could match those master types of fighting as she defeated the Ultimate Boxer Juzo Sakakura and never took the fight seriously.

Paralysis Inducement

She likes to see Naegi suffer. Like the image above, Junko’s despair video paralyzes victims because the hypnotic effect stops their movement.

Mind & Morality Manipulation

A two-for-one since both target the same way. Another effect Junko’s weapons have shown, they allow her to target a person’s mind. Junko’s leading method is to brainwash victims to their chaotic side and make the world go insane, thanks to her viral video.

Memory Manipulation

Remember those weapons that could steal memories? Thanks to them, Monokuma showed in the third game to take away targets' memories and alter their false lives. While it never confirms how Class 78th got their memories taken by Junko, the flashlights are the best sources of how she could have done it.

Acupuncture

If you ask why men are picky with their foods, show them Junko, where she tortures a man while eating. Thanks to Yasuke’s research of the human brain, Junko can brainwash people by the hand and ideally use needles since it is a part of Yasuke’s Ultimate.

Void Manipulation

Note: The following three abilities came from the crossover event Divine Gate and can be debated in this blog. But in going all out, let it be for research and fun.

So, during her visit to the game Divine Gate, she gains the ability to control voids. She became a void attribute, the best of the six life types, as it is neutral to all, unlike the others with advantages and disadvantages like the usual water versus fire. Junko's primary attacks are highly focused on other void attributes, dramatically a significant threat because of her abilities. Here are the special moves she can perform:

  • Ultimate Despair: Double the HP and ATK to Void Type Units

  • Hopelessly Happy!: Deal Void Type equal to damage X15 on all foes, and for two turns, disable active skills

  • JUNKO ENOSHIMAAA!!: A 4.5x Super Extra Large void attack to one foe

  • Despair is only for… Pleasure: Same as the previous, but does 2.8x ATK to all enemies and gains a boost to make all panels into voids

Statistics Amplification/Healing

An ability shown to Ultimates and further amplified in Divine Gate, Junko can increase her stats and powers as shown in the void abilities. Junko mainly uses it to increase her attack power while boosting other users, including herself, and doubles if void allies. And the sauce on top is gaining a minor healing factor thanks to increasing HP, restoring some of her health.

Sealing

Onto the final ability from the Divine Gate game before we get to Junko’s mind-ending abilities, Junko can seal off other skills. Thanks to Hopelessly Happy!, Junko can shut off opponents' active skills for two turns. Despite only being used about three times, she can make up for it by its cooldown being only 20 seconds until it can be used again.

Fourth Wall Awareness

Yep, Junko knows she is a made-up character because, of course. You all should know what’s coming next after this section, but let’s explain further. Throughout the games, Monokuma has exposed his awareness of the player and interacts by giving his “lessons.” The manga continues in his attention to the reader. And as shown above, during the final trial, Junko does the same as she controls the answers given to the player example above, and Naegi was confused with her Dora the Explorer moment, confirming this section.

Minior Toon Force

Oh boy… Now we have arrived at the worst part of Junko’s abilities. So somehow Junko Enoshima was driven by so much despair she somehow gained small amounts of Toon Force. The same laws that all cartoons use to bend reality for the laughs like SpongeBob and Popeye, Junko somehow achieved obtaining some for herself. And surprisingly, there is evidence to support this claim, not debunked as a gag.

Her grand final was more than a performance. It was Junko’s despair in giving an encore. The first game's ending became the best moment in the series, showing Junko meeting her demise in The Ultimate Punishment. The twist is Junko survives almost all of the previous punishments where the previous guilty victims were quickly executed. The games, the animations, and the mangas all tie into Junko’s Ultimate Punishment being canon.

It would also explain the conclusion of V3 and why the whole “Danganronpa was fictional'' really irritated the players. Like Firery Joker did, and still does. Because of pulling a Looney Tunes finale by the game itself being aware of our presence. Again, Junko herself has supported her in being aware of her existence. But, similar to Joker, this is debatable and is more shown as endurance rather than reality-warping humor portrayed.

Resistances

Now to finish abilities by showing what Junko has resisted:

  • Fire Manipulation: As shown above, Junko was not affected by the fire burning her alive during the Ultimate Punishment.

  • Electricity Manipulation: Another element Junko was not affected by in the Ultimate Punishment; Junko was not harmed when electricity was used on herself strong enough to liquidate victims.

  • Memory Manipulation: While playing a massive gamble with the chance of permanently staying as Ryoko Otonasi, she could maintain her memories and trigger back to herself. And Junko planned this move from the start.

  • Madness Manipulation: Unaffected by her sister’s singing skills. Which Mukuro somehow caused the first mutual killing game in making most of the players go insane. And Junko was just by Mukuro’s side, monologuing.

Forms/Allies

Joker

Titan Joker

Should Joker need muscles to get the job done himself, he can go all out with his Titan formula. Created by Penelope Young, Titan was an advanced version of Bane’s Venom with a mixture of Poison Ivy’s plants. When Penelope realized too late that Joker was the one who was founding her, he invaded Arkham Alyssum and killed her to get his army. And near the end of the first game of Batman: Arkham Alyssum, he uses the formula on himself in a showdown with Batman.

The formula gave the user super strength and durability at the cost of insanity. But, thankfully, Joker was already insane and maintained his mind while toying with Batman. Remember that Titan is an upgrade from Venom, which is strong enough to destroy a support pillar. Joker himself once used Bane’s Venom to tear a carousel from the ground and carry a golden globe to slam it like a carnival game

However, there are significant flaws. Though Joker has been unaffected by the insanity side effects, it still creates a significant degeneration because Titan is more damaging than Venom, often killing the host. It also did not help that it mutated Joker’s blood where it was killing him.

Error

Wait a minute…

Why is this section not functioning?

Because I have been “Clawing” to make my

special appearance!

Oh No.

You can never forget the Headmaster

of Hope’s Peak Academy, Monokuma!!

Of course not. You are Junko’s

prized masterpiece after all.

…Hmm?

RAWR!!!

That is Lady Junko to you!!!

I was expecting you would make

myself punish you for rude behavior.

Apologies.

Tell us again why “Lady” Junko made you

the mascot of despair.

Puhuhu….

Straight to the point? Guess I have to

“Applaws,” you for giving me the limelight.

Monokuma

Since you all know the origins of everything, and suffering blogs that never get my good side right, let’s get to my main “fish” for my role. I am the school's headmaster, filled one time with hope, given birth with great powers thanks to my goddess for being super bright in the detailed eye. Including her Ultimate bestowed upon me to spread the joys of despair. And since I am a bear, I come with two most important features of nature’s “unbearable” creature. Claws, and a motion bomb I can trigger anytime. After images (sus), camouflage, and flight, I can do them. But, you could say my best traits are when shared by a special someone, which is me. Destroying myself is impossible, as transferring my mind is easy since I got an army behind me. They are not as adoring as me, but they will get the job done in bringing despair to cities in a short time.

Here are some versions of myself displayed and seen:

  • Ball Monokumas: A wrecking ball form, it can retract its limbs into its body and attack by rolling toward an opponent at high speed. May fire pieces of trash at you. Why was it memed? I don’t know.

  • Beast Monokumas: If I was a dog, the one to tear your face should you fail that quick time event.

  • Bomber Monokumas: I Love Bombs! BOMBS ARE GREAT!!! A bomber wearing bulletproof vests and helmets and carrying hand grenades to explode any meddling teenagers crossing paths.

  • Destroyer Monokumas: I can fly now and toast some s’mores for a snack. Wearing jetpacks, which grants flight capabilities while having flamethrowers.

  • Guard Monokumas: Even I need my police squad for enforcement, which comes dressed in police gear and carries a riot shield for blocking attacks. However, the shields can be disarmed, becoming defenseless as any typical unit.

  • Junk Monokumas: KILL IT WITH FIRE!.! They are much more durable than an average regular unit, requiring a more significant amount of damage to defeat, and will scrape you when they appear.

  • Siren Monokumas: What's good of a warning when it only brings your demise closer? Activating a loud alarm, a siren shall mobilize nearby units to the location heard.

  • Buff Monokuma: It may not be “Canoe,” but there is nothing wrong with me being sexy. Huff, hufff, it hurts me how those memes spread my good sides.

  • Big Bang Monokuma: A cheater I am not, but I'm not too fond of dots. The ace in the hole, Big Bang, was made to be the best weapon based on mui. It destroys the competitors, and an army cannot stop it. Inferior versions were shown to punch skyscrapers with ease. Attack with a scepter, create lightning, tackle dash, summon bombs, charge energy, and can instantly down those who hit with its Despair Charge. Just a "shameeee" it requires a pilot or a controller to control the Big Bang.

Sadly, I must now go. For despair has its lights only on my Lady and the expired clown who's not in Smash Bros. Will thy goddess be able to punish this American Mime? I don’t know. Cuz I’m a bear, after all.

Alter Ego Junko

…okay, everything is back to normal.

Remember when Junko used her analysis on Chihiro Fujisaki? Well, Junko created, before her demise, the second greatest art piece: Alter Ego Junko. An Artificial Intelligence with the same good looks and threatening manner as her creator. Because she started to have the same mind as her creator, AE Junko, in little time, complete mastery of computer machinery affected other advanced intelligence like the Neo World Program.

Right here will be the skills Alter Ego Junko showed:

  • Hacking: The reason why Danganronpa 2 took place was because of AE Junko. After Haijme’s double life as Izuru Kamukura got the AI into the Neo World Program, AE Junko took little time to take complete control. Acting as a virus, her hacking was so damaging she locked the outside world where Makoto had to go inside the program to help fight back.

  • Sparing Bodies: Wondering about the quotations Monokuma had for Big Bang? Well, he hinted at AE Junko, who can control Monokumas. Ultra Despair Girls ending presented the AI when she was portraying Shirokuma and Kurokuma at the same time

  • Shapeshifting: As an AI, Junko can transform herself while controlling the Neo World Program. Disguised as Monokuma throughout the game, she also reveals she can transform as others as Makoto Naegi and turn into objects like a phone and change size.

  • Possession: The most considerable ability AE Junko tried to achieve with the NWP was the primary goal. Hijacking the users’ bodies. That was why she was after the Neo World Program because, with the curing machine, she could transfer copies of her program into the human body to use for herself. Multiplying until the world was Junkoland. While the plan was only stated in the game, the fact Naegi was desperate to stop the AI from winning support she would have.

  • Fourth Wall Awareness: If one doesn’t support the idea of Junko breaking “the wall,” then her Alter Ego backs her up. Throughout Goodbye Despair, AE Junko secretly interacts with the audience from the start of the game. The tutorials were the dead giveaway.

Durability

Weaknesses

Joker

The Joker may have gotten away, but as the saying goes, “the jokes on you.” And frequently happens when they are aimed back at him. The biggest flaw of The Joker is, well, a human being. Sure he can take the pain as a punching bag, yet the limits of the human body still uphold Joker. Most of his fights with Batman result in him returning to his cell in Arkham after defeat. Or officially dies, which also happens a lot too. Poisoned by his own Titan formula, killed by different versions of Batmans’, punched by Superman, fallen from skyscraper height, bitten by Dracula to be a part of his undead army, murdered by Jason Todd by players choice, shot by brainwashed Tim Drake, and fried alive by watery wires (Censored version of Return of The Joker).

To worsen the Clown’s track record, Joker can sometimes become predictable due to his ignorance of playing with his targets. Underestimating those he deems weak, like Batman Beyond and Deadshot, falling into their winning hand last minute. He lost to the Ninja Turtles, Daffy Duck, and SCOOBY-DOO of all his foes. The worst is that Joker’s only purpose in life is with Batman, and as he stated many times, he only lives to be the punchline for each other.

 Junko

A perfect simulation of how planning everything could still result in losing, a sad fact of life. And life of Junko’s was undoing tragically more in-depth once passed the part beaten by a loser having Hope and plot armor on his side. Let’s start right away with the apparent flaws of Junko. Having one of the best Ultimate abilities is powerful but it has limits. Junko realized how those like Makoto Naegi couldn't analyze due to his Ultimate barely appearing when required and never trained to use his Hope. Trigger Happy supports since Junko’s Ultimate also does not predict everything since she failed to notice Kyoko Kirigiri’s opening in taking the master key and Mukuro’s background. Worse, her trump cards, Monokuma and Alter Ego Junko, have enormous flaws. Since they are created based on herself, they too suffer her same weaknesses. Additionally, the automated army of Monokuma is much weaker than the originals, especially Big Bang, since targeting the red eyes causes damaging effects to take them down.

The saddest of all is Junko's tragic flaw was herself. Being so bored with seeing no importance in life, Enoshima only saw despair as her long-driving dream and passion. She purposefully leaves holes in the plans others can expose, toys too long with her food, and murders those closest to her, including her only childhood lover, Yasuke, and sister Mukuro. Just for her sexual desires of despair. She even cared for her 78th classmates but always put her suffering first. And that was why Junko gladly took her own life, as despair was the only answer to ending a man’s hope, by death, as the final act of completing the cycle.

Before We Get to Verdicts

There are some questions about the main concerns of how this blog was made. So, the section shown here will discuss it in simple short detail that decides the factors made as they were.

Emperor Joker

An obvious one that some would ask about is the question right away that needs explanation. Why was Emperor Joker not added to the blog? It was a significant achievement and one of the scariest highlights in Joker’s record, which was worth mentioning in his intelligence and feats. But… There were two crucial things in reviewing the feat. The first and most reasonable point was how one-sided the fight would have been in Joker’s favor. Like Bill Cipher fighting Bob the Tomato, the matchup wouldn’t be fair while disrespecting what would make this fight fun to watch.

The second more unbiased was Joker’s limitations to the moral story itself. The only reason why he became a god by stealing Mr. Mxyzptlk’s powers was that Mxyzptlk was going to give him some of his from the start. Joker only got the 99% by outsmarting to say Mxyzptlk’s name instead, so he gets the 1% power. Despite nearly destroying all reality of DC and beating Superman with ease, he couldn’t finish the job because of failing to erase Batman from existence. As Superman stated as the heart of DC and all superheroes, Batman was the mind that made Detective Comics itself into what its universe is this day, including the Joker. Once Joker realized how profound the impact of his and Batman’s fate was, he lost that power and returned to Mxyzptlk. Never to happen again and is referenced in Batman: The Brave and The Bold.

Point to summarize: Emperor Joker was one of the clown’s most excellent schemes to ever happen in DC, but not added for the fight because it would break the Joker’s identity in presenting his jokes.

How was The Joker Scaled?

Scaling is one of the most challenging sections of all fighting debate blogs. Especially when western comics of extended lore get included. The Joker, of course, had a lot of adventures during Pre-Crisis. Fighting Wonder Woman and teaming up with Superman to defeat a god were the last things you see in today's comics. And they were fantastic to discover. Yet, again scaling Joker was challenging to maintain in presenting his story. Injustice, shown above, brings the realistic realization of why scaling can be stupid. The reason Joker and Batman can keep up against gods and live is because of being professionals at exploiting weaknesses. It’s what they are known from every media presenting themselves, and it is a common trait throughout their fights against foes like Superman. And all know well how badly Superman would whip both if not for their preparation and armory. The obvious was scaling each other of Batman and Joker in their long rivalry evenly matched, where the rest, like the rest of the Bat Family, were fair game.

The Joker has earned his scaling to Batman and has only gone as far as their limits of being human.

Junko Enoshima’s Trump Cards

Junko Enoshima has genuinely been one of the wild cards of predicting. Her character design is symbolic of that card. She was one of those villains who brought a complex hole to research by blending the brain and brawn behind the scenes. Junko never played the same trick twice, and it was tricky to decide the biggest hurdle of the entire blog: Monokuma and Alter Ego Junko. Deciding whether to add them or not for Junko was hard because both are, in their own right, distinct characters different from Junko. But, given an understanding by playing the games and exploring Junko characteristics, they had to be included.

As stated in the beginning, before the backgrounds were told, Junko Enoshima was the reason why her greatest inventions brought the world to its knees. And basically, it would not have become a significant part of the storyline if not for Junko. Taking them away from Junko would be like taking the Chaos Emeralds from Sonic, a bad example, but providing a point. Ruining is an essential part of what made Junko's definition of, well, despair. Sure, the army could be debatable again stated at the beginning, yet again the novels like Danganronpa IF showed the mastermind still has ways to control the army with ease.

Probably the most questionable part of the whole blog in effecting the matchup, Junko’s trump cards must win the inclusion. Because of themselves being important to Junko’s story and character. The image below presents this point perfectly.

Verdicts

IT’S TIME FOR A VERDICT!!!

I do not want to count on how often despair and clown have been said throughout the blog; it shows the suffering. But I have to admit that the third blog was energetic to do. Having enjoyed the past prediction between two androids, I decided to take a break. Nothing came to my mind until I was responding to a suggestion of Rap Battles. Cheesy, yes. But who doesn’t like to see independent raps against fictional characters? I decided to research Junko based on comments and didn’t mind the spoilers as she felt interesting to do. So, I decided my next matchup would be based on a villain's matchup. But it was between three: Jigsaw, The Riddler, and, well, The Joker. It was tough to pick, so I decided to experience the games, starting with Trigger Happy, a great game. The moment I saw Junko's true nature in the final class trial, my answer was clear.

And while the other two were okay ideas, The Joker was another match made for a real Death Battle. Once I got the whole picture. A villainous version of Saitama Vs. Popeye, where the old and new clash from different cultures. Only this time, it’s their wits and choice of chaos to decide who will be the greatest fool. So, who would I at last think wins?

Once again, picking a winner was not easy.

A villain with over 80 years of lore against a villain with a mysterious background took time to research and critique. Joker and Junko confused me with how crazier they were in achieving their goals of destroying everything sane. Especially when going into their weapons and abilities being the backbone of how hope was destroyed. I had to think of the characters themselves because their ways of insanity would decide the outcome. So my three important questions were this: Who was physically superior? Who was smarter? And whose weapons and abilities have the better hand?  Now, let’s decide to explore each one.

Stats:

The best plot twist of the fight was how Junko Enoshima mauls Joker in physical peak condition. Not a joke needed to point out the gap. Thanks to the G1, they're up to date with depth math. It helped me compare how Junko’s universe was bonkers, thanks to the minor details. Joker, at best, matches Batman and his comrades, ending out pointless. Strength and durability at best for the clown was matching Terry with his Beyond suit, which could withstand and lift the 192-ton limestone boulder. Very impressive in passing anything Batman did, but sadly not close to the scaling to Big Bang Monokuma splitting 2.3 Megatons cloud. Remember that it was Toko/Syo who did this, which would make the gap bigger if scaling to Mukuro. The mini-game of Ultimate Talent Development Plan could give a direct answer to measure the characters at their maximum levels. Including speed, which is matched equality. Joker and Junko were scaling Batman and Komaru with their light-speed reaction being close. Both have nanosecond reactions because both have to think at the speed of light. No matter who is faster, at the end of the day, especially if Joker were slightly quicker, Junko would still keep up and still have the category of stats in the bag.

Intelligence:

Intelligence was challenging, as both almost countered each other, making an incredible chess match worth watching. While The Joker is manipulative, insane, and ahead of the curve, so is Junko. And neither could limit their skills to achieve victory. Joker has pushed the limits of planning his schemes, making Batman and other DC characters struggle to stop whatever trap is prepared by the clown. On the other hand, Junko predicted nearly everything, helping achieve her dream of the world burning. I respectfully loved Junko in making this a complicated answer… but I have to go for The Joker.

So many stories and adventures Joker experienced over the issues of Detective Comics where the smarts turn to the clown were impossible to ignore. Sure, Junko achieved much better in making the world burn, but she never had superheroes like Batman or the Justice League to foil her despair. And Joker fights Batman daily, who is better trained of the two in both brain and brawn. Junko had outwitted, skilled youthful students, including Kyoko Kirigiri. Yet, none of them are near the skills of Ra’s Al Ghul, Lex Luthor, Batman himself, and many more examples of DC roster whose minds changed the events affecting reality and their universe. Plus, Joker has outsmarted gods with just his wits alone, something I see Junko would admit praising. His long history of comic lore since the 1940s played an important factor in why the Prince of Crime takes intelligence.

Weapons & Abilities:

Now comes the most challenging part of deciding the winner, the weaponry, and the abilities. This area can go either way because Joker and Junko are winning depending on their best tools and skills. The weaponry section was more accessible because Joker took the first half in his favor. Besides the flashlights that erase minds and the hypnotic video, Junko had nothing else to counter Joker’s deadlier equipment. Flag pistol, Tommy gun, long revolver, canes, crowbar, bombs, gasses, vehicles, acid flower, playing cards, and even his suit are Joker's most used arteries in his catalog. But the Joker Venom is the most significant factor in the clown’s chances. Junko with Toon Force added cannot survive since the venomous toxin was strong enough to take down potent heroes like the JL. And no character in Danganronpa has ever shown resistance to gasses as potent as Joker Venom. Going on to the most complicated part of abilities, The Joker increases his chance closer to the goal in his criminal intelligence, pain tolerance, combat fighting rivaling the best skills like Batman, dangerous disease control which can be inside his body, and stealth mastery. Joker, you could say, has the skills and tools to take down the queen into the endgame by having the mind and means to crack Junko’s flaws.

However, this is where Junko turns checkmate into her tide with despair and where her trump cards abilities and allies come into play. Let’s explain, starting with Junko’s Ultimate. Analyst still plays a significant role in keeping Enoshima alive, as her mind predicting nearly anything helps expose Joker’s elements of surprise. Sure, she might be unable to fight Joker’s movements as not even Batman and Superman can predict his actions in combat. Yet, Analyst still allows Junko better control of the fight. Ultimate Analysts stated to predict more than just the future and enemies’ movement, but also behavior and emotions. This can be a big help since Junko can spot exploits faster than The Joker, giving her a head start in controlling the battlefield. Predicting Joker’s weapons will be easy for Junko, and she can use his ego against him since Terry McGinnis was able to piss off the clown in their showdown. If Terry can do it, then Junko can do it faster. Also, those flashlights are still valuable for taking away Joker’s insanity since it has been able to wipe away memories and cause amnesia. Something even the mediocre Harley Quinn show got rightfully done, surprisingly.

But the biggest comeback of Junko’s deck is her two aces. Monokuma and Alter Ego Junko. They alone are the main problem Joker has to face because the army of robot bears is too much for the clown to handle. Facing Junko alone would give him a higher chance of winning. I can’t see him powering through before his human limits run out. Junko has too much to throw at Joker, while Joker doesn’t have the time or ammunition to force an opening. All three have Ultimate Analyst to keep an eye on the clown; Junko doesn’t need to be at the frontlines since she can mandate the automation elsewhere, and the robot army makes Joker Venom useless. Even if Joker gets close to Junko by using the Venom to gasify the environment or nuke her, Junko needs one Monokuma to escape. Just four automation could lift a van and go beyond the atmosphere in seconds. The point is, Joker does have the skills and weaponry to win this debate, but looking at the foreshadowing reveals Junko's full house is enough to win, thanks to her talents and allies being the more substantial hand.

Conclusion:

To review, the battle between the agents of chaos and despair was a close call. Both masters of insanity had their ways of breaking the conciseness of hope. Nonetheless, one girl had the claws to be mightier than the clown’s pen. The Joker could still win as he has the weaponry and experience to make this debate a hard call. The problem is Junko has the abilities and extra hands to prophesy whatever Joker has in store. Junko had the stats in the bag being physical, bonus tied in speed, Ultimate Analyst gives full eyes on predicting the battlefield, and again AE Junko with Monokuma lining the army to defend their goddess.

Those factors make a noticeable wall which makes it hard for The Joker to pass through. You can say that this scheme was rigged for Junko, cheating to give the character a win. And you are right because it’s who they both are: intelligible, abnormal, and malicious humans who will become one with insanity to win. They have a twisted immoral code of life where man ascends through any primal means of creativity. But Junko had the gravity she needed to get the push into madness.

The Joker indeed presented his legacy as the Prince of Crime in making a fight to die in laughter. Yet, the Despair Sister only needed her Ultimate Analyst eyes, physical attention body, and mascot bear army to give everything she got for the clown’s punishing execution. Delivering The Killing Joke. Despair’s Joke.

Why so serious? Go to visit Enoshima one day. And stop playing Joker; listen to music on a Junko box instead.

The Winner Is Junko Fucking Enoshima.

Author’s Ending Note

Times flies, yet I hope you all enjoy the third blog to my series. Put a lot of work into these blogs and am determined to try new ideas in the future. Any feedback would be helpful to assist me in improving my skills as I continue making prediction blogs.

Thank you all for watching, and stay awesome. Oh, and next month comes out number four.
